So this is my version of speed-posting. Slapping as many pics down as I can with as little explanation as possible, but at least having it done! Grandma and Grandpa came to visit and take care of Mommy last weekend. The visit was short, but so wonderful, and so needed. Brynn has really become so bonded with all of her grandparents, and it is so precious to see them together. While they were here, I downloaded some pics from their camera. They are old pictures from last summer when we visited and when my mom came down to help us move, but...I like them! So here ya go. A bunch of outdated pictures, but they matter to me and I want them on my blog. :). Oh, and the little table and chairs used to be mine! My parents brought it from SF and Brynn has had SO much fun with it already. It especially saves me on laundry day, since it's up in the loft right next to the washer.

Sad Day
Last week was a very sad one for the Cougars. They lost to TCU. Marty was watching it on the computer with his best cougar buddy, Brynn (see the spirited good-luck shirt she's wearing?), and my dad. I was glad my dad was here for Marty to commiserate with, because when the cougars lose, I honestly don't know how to console him. Moment of silence for BYU's all-too-short winning streak.
Sparks!!!
Chocolate Kisses
After a long day of packing for the move, we went to Cold Stone for ice cream. But the yummy flavor I ordered wasn't as sweet as the chocolate kisses I got!

Homemade Playdough
Today I made playdough for the first time. I had so much fun with Brynn! I made it because my downstairs was a wreck and I thought that would keep her really busy while I cleaned, but then in the end I didn't want to leave the fun. So we both played. : ) We made snakes, snowmen, flowers, and then put hats on all of them. And Brynn made lots of...squishy...things. I think it was a good recipe, so here it is if anyone wants it.
Homemade PlayClay
2 C flour
1 C Salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
2 Tbsp. oil
1 tsp. food coloring
2 C water
Mix ingredients together in a heavy saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until dough leaves sides of the pan. Let it cool completely then knead out any bubbles. Store in plastic bags.

General Conference with a Toddler
Alright, Marty and I debated back and forth on whether or not to blog this. I think that even though Brynn is still Mommy's Little Baby, she is probably getting a bit old for topless performances on the internet (she's 21 months). But Marty insisted, which he doesn't generally do when it comes to the blog. And to be honest, I guess it didn't really take a lot to convince me. So, here ya go! A short movie of the Saturday afternoon morning session of General Conference.
This week
This is a picture of our computer, which is currently in shambles on the ground. Yes, currently. Even though it is open and pieces are everywhere, we have finally managed to make it work for now. So, I'm sorry I've been such a terrible blogging buddy lately, but I promise to come visit you all now!
This is me getting ready to tackle the icky, evil kitchen. Pretty much everything in the kitchen grosses me out right now, so the only way I could make myself even go near it was to keep smelling a piece of fresh lemon. But I kind of needed both hands to clean, so I finally opted to tape it to my face. Marty said he'd only help me if I took a picture, so here ya go Marty. But just by way of update, I am actually feeling a little better these days. My Relief Society president told me today that I am looking much less green. :)
Here is our camp-out dress rehearsal. We want to go to the ward camp-out in a couple weeks, but are a bit worried about Brynn. She is a little tempermental about sleeping in her own room and her own bed, but we couldn't have asked more from her this night! We set up the tent in our back yard and put the pack and play in it. I was absolutely shocked when we put her down and she just laid down and went to sleep. In fact, she did better then mommy, who wimped out and finally went in the house about 1:00 or so.
It was a really fun evening complete with smores on the BBQ. I know these pictures are dark and slightly useless, but this bottom picture is Home Sweet Home in the tent. The pole in the middle is actually a lamp we brought inside and hooked up with an extension cord.
Brynn' s doing her part campaigning for prop 102. Marty brought a sign inside one day and it was like she knew just what to do with it!

For the men
Sadly, I'm probably mistaken and Marty is the only husband out there who has to deal with this problem. BUT, if any of you guys out there are sick of your wives taking your towels, here is a solution.
Marty gets up earlier than me, so he always showers first. But he never has a towel because the previous morning, I kept wrapped it around my hair, and then discarded it somewhere after my hair is dry...generally wherever it is that I have chased Brynn down and found her. So this morning I go to take the towel, and this is what I have found.
Marty has chained the tag from his towel to the towel rack. I thought about cutting the tag out of spite, but let's be honest. I really had this one coming.
