The last few weeks

And for yet another overwhelming update, I will try yet again to refrain from my usual long-winded...ness. So, here we go!

A couple of weekends ago we made the drive to Las Vegas for a family baby blessing. We left Mesa at about 3:00 on Saturday afternoon and then left Las Vegas at about the same time the NEXT day. So, we got to see our family for about the same amount of time that we spent driving. And the verdict? TOTALLY, 100 PERCENT WORTH IT! I would do it again in a heartbeat! It was so good to see everyone and just be around family again!

Then last weekend was our complete DISASTER of a camping trip. Marty's been wanting to go camping for a year and a half now, so we were pretty excited. Unfortunately, we don't know a whole lot about camp sites in the area and picked a bad one. After we started cooking our tin foil dinners, a group of people came and started a fire right next to us. Oh, did I fail to mention these 20 or 30 people were completely drunk and had the filthiest language I've ever heard in my life? It didn't look like they were going to stay there the whole night, so we set up the tent anyway (in the dark). Later we realized that they WERE in fact going to stay the whole night and knew that Brynn would never sleep through it (did I also fail to mention it was the LOUDEST filthy language I've ever heard?), and we couldn't stand any more of it, so we took the tent down (in the dark) and drove around to find another camp-ground, but they were all closed by this time. So we headed back home. I'm sure after posting this, that many of you wonderful people will come up and tell me all of the very best places to go camping, and I would be SO grateful if you would! However, it will also remind me that I don't know as much about this area as I wish I did, and make me homesick for my nice familiar Wasatch mountains!

And as for this week, I had such a fun day today! Brynn had her very first Easter egg hunt! She was more interested in being able to run around in a big open area without mommy stopping her, and didn't show much interest in the eggs. That is, until we got home and she learned how to open them and realized what was inside!

P.S., our camera is giving us fits again, and for some reason won't import all of the pictures that are on there, so we only have pictures from the Easter egg hunt. To make up for that, I will post LOTS of those ones! :)
