The last few weeks

And for yet another overwhelming update, I will try yet again to refrain from my usual long-winded...ness. So, here we go!

A couple of weekends ago we made the drive to Las Vegas for a family baby blessing. We left Mesa at about 3:00 on Saturday afternoon and then left Las Vegas at about the same time the NEXT day. So, we got to see our family for about the same amount of time that we spent driving. And the verdict? TOTALLY, 100 PERCENT WORTH IT! I would do it again in a heartbeat! It was so good to see everyone and just be around family again!

Then last weekend was our complete DISASTER of a camping trip. Marty's been wanting to go camping for a year and a half now, so we were pretty excited. Unfortunately, we don't know a whole lot about camp sites in the area and picked a bad one. After we started cooking our tin foil dinners, a group of people came and started a fire right next to us. Oh, did I fail to mention these 20 or 30 people were completely drunk and had the filthiest language I've ever heard in my life? It didn't look like they were going to stay there the whole night, so we set up the tent anyway (in the dark). Later we realized that they WERE in fact going to stay the whole night and knew that Brynn would never sleep through it (did I also fail to mention it was the LOUDEST filthy language I've ever heard?), and we couldn't stand any more of it, so we took the tent down (in the dark) and drove around to find another camp-ground, but they were all closed by this time. So we headed back home. I'm sure after posting this, that many of you wonderful people will come up and tell me all of the very best places to go camping, and I would be SO grateful if you would! However, it will also remind me that I don't know as much about this area as I wish I did, and make me homesick for my nice familiar Wasatch mountains!

And as for this week, I had such a fun day today! Brynn had her very first Easter egg hunt! She was more interested in being able to run around in a big open area without mommy stopping her, and didn't show much interest in the eggs. That is, until we got home and she learned how to open them and realized what was inside!

P.S., our camera is giving us fits again, and for some reason won't import all of the pictures that are on there, so we only have pictures from the Easter egg hunt. To make up for that, I will post LOTS of those ones! :)

Oh how fun. She is so cute! I'm sorry your camping trip turned out horrible. I am not a camper myself so we don't even try it. I'm glad you had fun with your family. It's always nice to see loved ones.

If you have not heard about any good camping sites yet let me know we know of a bunch you can go to! Also, Brynn is such a sweet little baby girl. I do not think that I have ever heard her fuss.

I was starting to wonder where you were. Brynn is so cute, I just love her cute dress. You guys are the cutest family, and you always do the funnest things. One day we should meet up and go camping.

I'm trying to remember if I told you that I adored Brynn's dress at the Easter Egg hunt with ALL my heart! Well, I did! I hope you're having a fabulous time in Utah. We're having a good and much-needed rest here in Flag! If you get back tonight we should go walking tomorrow.

How fun! Easter is always a fun holiday with little ones- I love watching them find the easter eggs- so cute! I haven't been camping in a while- Byron would know where to go though probably, I will ask him.
Oh, and I am glad you love cooking more now- I need to catch that bug. I feel the exact same way as you are describing about despising cooking.

Today is picnic day! 12 o clock on the grass behind our buildings! Bring food for your family, and a small blanket, or else you can sit on mine with me! There's enough room :]
I hope you get this in time!

Oh, I meant to comment on your sweet little girl's dress and her love for running without worrying about mom :] haha
how cute!
I can't wait for mine!
We were actually thinking of going camping this weekend, you should join us. It'll be somewhere between Payson and Heber. The Hatches invited us and I think the McBrides are going as well. You should definitely consider it! :]
We are so there if Camryn doesn't come before then! :D
